How to avoid a cold...

As the cold is upon us, so are the colds that get the best of us. We start feeling the sneezes coming, then the shivers and suddenly we have a full cold attacking us. After trying quite a few different recipes to help our immune system fight your average cold, this recipe has always worked for us. 

 

This is a pretty simple recipe and all you need is a good blender and high quality ingredients.  You can have it also as a general breakfast smoothie to start the day on the right foot.

 

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Serving Size: 3 small cups

 

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cut up pineapple

  • 2 whole oranges without skin

  • 1 whole lime without skin

  • 1 tbsp of fresh ginger

  • 1 tsp of cayenne pepper

  • 1 tbsp of honey

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a high power blender.

  2. First blend it on low, then when most fruit is well chopped up, place it on high to fully blend all the ingredients together and starts to look like a thick juice or smoothie.

  3. Drink right away.

  4. Make sure to drink 3 to 4 cups a day to keep the cold away.
